6 Addicting Flash Games That Don't Cost a Cent

I've always been a huge fan of video games, but over the years have become more used to using a keyboard and mouse than a controller. That doesn't mean I need to give up my old favorites from the original consoles. It is now easy enough to find the classics in Flash media format, but also to find new, simple, and addicting games. Here is a list of my six current favorites:

1.) Toss the Turtle
  • The newest and coolest flash game I've played, Toss the Turtle is a lot like launching a "Turtle-Knievel" out of a cannon. A very simple game that allows you to gain bonus distance by buying upgrades or landing on explosives after the launch. Try and beat my high score: 2326.5 feet!

2.) Super Mario Flash
  • The king of classic video games is back in flash form. Super Mario Flash is essentially the same as the original, and every bit as addicting. This one even comes with a custom level editor, so you can make your own challenges and share them with your friends.

3.) Ultimate Sonic Flash
  • The original Sonic the Hedgehog in flash form. One of the best games ever made and you can play it right in your browser. I dare you to try and just play one level without trying for a second or third. I can't seem to keep this one away.

4.) Canabalt
  • If you like the Matrix, or roof jumping, you'll love this simple yet addicting flash game. Its worth the few seconds it takes to load up and try out, and will have you addicted for hours

5.) Pandemic 2
  • The sequel to the amazing outbreak simulation game, Pandemic 2 proves to live up to its predecessor. In this game, you are given choices on the various factors of a spreading bacteria, virus, or whatever you choose. You then get to simulate it as the World goes into chaos.

6.) Pac-Man
  • Last but not least, the original Pac-Man makes its appearance in the realm of flash games. This game is a classic and is easy to learn and addicting as ever.

Canabalt and Pandemic 2 have to be my favorites out of this list, but you still can't top Pac-Man and Super Mario.
